  • Abstract
Multi-band orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MB-OFDM) solution has recently been proposed in the IEEE 802.15.3a working group for possible deployment in high-rate (110-480 Mbps) and short-range (4-10 m) wireless applications. To enhance the error rate performance of MB-OFDM systems, a high-diversity algebraic time-frequency (ATF) coding is proposed in this paper. The ATF codes are proved to be able to achieve full-diversity without any rate loss. Simulation results are presented to show that error performance can be greatly improved by using ATF coding.
