Abstract
It is shown that proper mode-locking range where transform-limited pulses are generated is increased up to 1.3 GHz by using linearly chirped raised-cosine flat top apodized FBG instead of linearly chirped Gaussian podized FBG giving a mode-locking range of 850 MHz
