Abstract :
The fluid-flow approximation models investigate with much success the dynamics and stability of TCP/RED connections in wired networks. Their main assumption is that the fluctuations of variables characterizing the behavior of the connections are relatively small, that enables the linearization of model and the use of traditional control analysis tools to obtain such measures as Bode gain, phase margins, tracking error or delay margin. In this article, we propose extension of fluid flow approximation to support time division multiplexing used in WiMAX wireless networks. We modify the fluid flow equations to incorporate the delivery of packets not as an constant flow (as in wired networks), but as a on-off source.
