Abstract :
A magnetic resistive sheet -- a ferrite tile backed with a metal foil or plate -- is recognized as a new type lossy device in the microwave field. Its new applications -- absorbing wall, matched loards , attenuators and line filter -- are introduced in this paper, especially very thin microwave absorbers (1.7mm in thickness, with V.S.W.R. <or= 1.2, in 8.6 - 10.2 GHz) and a novel variable coaxial attenuator are presented.
