Abstract :
This paper describes optimal design of rotor slot of single phase induction motor with copper die-cast rotor cage. For high efficiency, we applied die-cast copper rotor cage to single phase induction motor. But increase of efficiency is small and starting torque is reduced largely due to higher conductivity of copper. So, we perform basic design of single phase induction motor. And we study the optimal design of die-cast copper bar of single phase induction motor with respect to starting torque and efficiency. This study is base on the parametric analysis method and the FEA of induction motor.
