Abstract
In this paper, we discuss the nature of interactions between the slider and the topical lubricant applied on media surfaces in low flying head-disk interfaces with intermittent contact. These interactions have the potential of leading to significant magnetic and mechanical reliability challenges for interfaces in close proximity
