Abstract
Sensorless vector control of an induction motor drive essentially means vector control without any speed sensor. It is possible to estimate the speed signal from machine terminal voltages and currents with the help of a DSP. Sensorless vector controlled drives are commercially available at this time. A sensorless vector control system based on model referencing adaptive system (MRAS) is introduced. The calculation model of rotor flux was analyzed. The sensorless vector control system was realized based on the chip of TMS320LF2407A. The simulation and test result verified that the method of sensorless vector control is feasible and valid.
