Abstract :
The paper presents the RF and IF architecture of a wireless transceiver. To simplify the modulation and demodulation processes a DPSK modulation scheme has been chosen. The demodulation is done from the IF frequency of 280 MHz. The paper presents the signal propagation analysis as well as the hardware implementations of several key components. Among these, we note the unbalanced to balanced circuitry, phase locked loops, IF filtering and grounding/supply network. Experimental results are also discussed
