Abstract :
Temperature distribution of magnetic head is analyzed at various conditions. It is observed that the maximum temperature of the slider increases with the increase of media temperature but decreases with the increase of slider flight height and the disk rotational speeds. The maximum temperature rise of the slider is 51degC when the maximum temperature of media is 500degC, which should be taken into consideration when designing the recording system.
