Abstract :
This paper proposes a technique for compensating the effect of the carrier frequency offset (CFO) in the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems using radial basis networks (RBN). The simulation results show that using the proposed technique to compensate the CFO in OFDM causes a compromise performance between the other considered techniques, namely; the virtual-subcarrier (VSC) based estimator and the Cramer-Rao lower bounds, in all considered channel models, namely; Rician, Rayleigh and TU6 channels models.
