Abstract
Based on modeling method of the train operation system by hybrid Petri nets, we define a train speed adjustment process model and analyze the adjustment process by two examples. Comparing with existed analysis, our analysis can describe two relationships quantitatively: one is the relationship between discrete events and continuous variables, another is the relationship among different variables in the system. We can found out how discrete events and continuous variables effect on the success rate of train speed adjustment. Because the train operation system is a representative hybrid system, the analysis has the pervasiveness property.
