Abstract :
The modified Fermat number transform (MFNT) and its properties are presented. It is shown that a linear convolution of two N-point sequences can be computed by taking two N-point MFNTs, calculating N multiplies, and taking an N-point inverse MFNT. Application of the MFNT to digital filtering is discussed
