Abstract :
A numerical technique (based on the generalized method of characteristics) to simulate multiple-coupled lossy interconnections terminated in general nonlinear elements is presented. The technique is used to study signal delay, distortion, and crosstalk in single and multiple-coupled interconnections in hybrid and monolithic integrated circuits. The technique has been implemented on a desktop personal computer system and applied to various cases of lossy uniform and nonuniform coupled lines. Examples of a lossy uniform coupled two-line microstrip structure and a three-line structure are shown
