Abstract
This paper proposes an improved three-level zero-voltage zero-current soft-switching (ZVZCS) half-bridge type DC/DC converter. In order to turn off the inner switch in zero-current manner, a tapped inductor is designed to reset the primary circulating current during the freewheeling interval. Consequently, the resetting voltage and the time can be regulated conveniently by setting the turn ratios of the tapped inductor. The principle and operation modes are analyzed. Simulation and experimental results based on a 500 W/125 kHz prototype are given to verify the validity of the proposed converter
