Abstract
Wireless sensor networks have emerged as an important application area resulting from the advancement of efficient short-range radio communication and miniaturization of computing devices. Nodes in such a network generally remain in an unattended environment and thereby they are prone to attack by adversaries. Therefore, the need of tolerating such attacks is of utmost importance. Firstly, multilevel tier architecture based on clustering of nodes in each tier is introduced. Then the work develops a scheme for WSN to tolerate such attack and maintains connectivity with negligible delay. This scheme is also capable of tolerating attacks in multiple nodes, provided the nodes are located in some specified positions. The claim has been justified with proof.
