Abstract :
The issues of roundoff noise and scaling for frequency sampling filters are considered. It is shown that the conventional frequency-sampling filters suffer from severe noise problems. A very simple modification to the classical frequency-sampling filter structure is described; it can significantly improve the signal-to-noise ratio. A lowpass-filter example is included to demonstrate the effectiveness of the modification
