Abstract

The development of innovative products implicates the use of new components or materials. In many cases, this is linked to the application of newly developed production technologies. However, the technology might not be capable to fulfill its specific manufacturing task. In order to evaluate risks concerning the production a systematic technology screening is necessary. The screening methodology presented in this paper is exemplified for the production of an electric vehicle.
