Abstract :
A novel control scheme in grid-voltage-orient frame for connecting doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) to the grid is proposed. The model of DFIG in grid-voltage-orient frame is analyzed. A PI controller to compensate the rotor position initial error is adopted in this design stagewise control strategy based on the DFIG model is proposed. The method to design the controllers is described. The grid synchronization procedure is analyzed in detail. The proposed techniques have been implemented on a 4.2 kW experimental DFIG system. Experimental results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques
