Abstract
A real-time control system is proposed, in which local and remote controllers cooperate to achieve flexible control operation. The local controller directly connected with the controlled plant is capable of communicating with a remote controller over the network, while performing basic real-time control function. The remote controller can be utilized in various ways, such as online feedback gain adjustment and intelligent controller implementation. An experimental study is carried out using a cart and pendulum control system.
