Abstract :
To reduce the stray inductance, consequently the turn-off voltage spike is a key factor for the implementation of high power switching converter. A structure of low/noninductive bus bar with two conductive layers (positive and negative pole of the DC bus), piled together with one high-level insulating epoxy layer, several connection and support parts, and easy to machining is studied in detail. The basic theory/principle of loop inductance calculation and design method in detail of this kind of bus bar are also given. With the demonstration put into a 50 kVA shunt active power filter, the designed bus bar with low stray inductance and voltage spike are achieved, therefore the principle is validated and the structure is feasible and promising for high power converters
