Abstract :
A general method for the optimization of a gallium arsenide (GaAs) switched capacitor (SC) filter circuit for maximum switching frequency is presented. An analysis of the settling time of an ideal transconductance amplifier in the context of an SC circuit is given. This is related to the settling behavior of a real amplifier, and its characterization procedure. The optimization of the SC circuit, whereby load capacitances are introduced to maintain optimum settling behavior in all switching states, is described. Detailed measurements for an optimized filter circuit are given
