Abstract :
The paper presented the double switched reluctance motors parallel drive system for the electrical traction in shearer. The system components, such as the switched reluctance motor, the main circuit of the power converter and the controller, were described. The control strategies of the closed-loop rotor speed control with PI algorithm and balancing the distribution of the loads with fuzzy logic algorithm were given. The tests results were also presented. It is shown that the relative deviation of the average DC supplied current of the power converter in the switched reluctance motor 1 and in the switched reluctance motor 2 is within plusmn10%
