  • Abstract
    High performance AC motor drives can be developed according to several techniques, whose implementation requires high technological support. In particular, the practical realization of complex control strategies involves the availability of high performance signal processing systems and the need of adequate design tools. This paper presents a low cost development system devoted to the implementation of vector controlled AC motor drives, that has been fully developed by the authors. The design choices and the hardware and software tools, which have been developed, are described, and some experimental results, which have been obtained by means of the proposed system, are presented
