Abstract
Wind turbines may degrade the quality of the hydro-meteorological data obtained by weather radars. This degradation is difficult to estimate, and it is necessary to develop a procedure to obtain accurate results of the reflectivity values from the wind turbines and the affected area. This contribution outlines a methodology to estimate the clutter generated by a specific wind farm on a weather radar. The methodology is based on the estimation of the RCS of each wind turbine of the wind farm, and includes the filtering and data processing stages of the weather radar. The proposed method has been applied to a specific case.
