Abstract :
Translation rules have long been applied in various machine translation systems and manual construction of the rule base still characterizes most commercial MTS development. To resolve the bottleneck of manual rule composition, we present a TBED based auto translation rule acquisition method for Chinese-English machine translation. Experiment results on "number-quantifier-noun" phrase translation indicate the good performance of the proposed method.
