Abstract
An adaptive wave digital filter that is capable of simultaneously enhancing and rejecting sinusoids in broadband noise is presented. The structure can be used to isolate individual sinusoids contained in multisinusoidal signals or to track sinusoids with time-varying frequencies. The structure and characteristics of the filter are discussed. The adaption algorithm, which is of the Gauss-Newton type, is presented. The performance of the filter is demonstrated of the filter on a universal digital signal processor is briefly discussed
