Abstract :
The paper discusses the retrieval algorithm for sea surface temperature (SST) using the WindSat radiometer. We perform SST retrievals with and without the C-band channels. The results are validated against SST measurements from AMSR-E, the Reynolds optimum interpolated product from NOAA and infrared radiometer measurements of the skin SST that were taken on cruise ships.
