Abstract :
DSR protocol, the on-demand routing protocol used commonly in ad hoc, is suited for the situation of low mobility and few data. DSR becomes the first choice of the designers of WSN depending on the characters of it. In order to satisfy the requirement of low energy, the paper proposes a new routing protocol named energy-related DSR. First, DSR protocol is introduced in brief, and then a way of realizing DSR in Opnet and the function of each model are expounded in detail, at last, the theory of energy-related DSR protocol is described in detail. The simulation is done and the performance of the protocol is analyzed based on the simulation results.
