Abstract :
Due to the increase of power electronic equipment installation and other harmonic and interharmonic sources, the harmonic and interharmonic estimation are of concern in power transmission and distribution networks. Conventional harmonic and interharmonic estimation directly uses the observed data, so it is not robust to outliers. In this paper, we explore the use of Complex Maximization of Nongaussianity (CMN) algorithm for harmonic and interharmonic estimation by transforming harmonic model into CMN algorithm model. CMN algorithm is robust, but it is not suitable for hardware implementation. To overcome the problem, we propose an improved CMN algorithm that can be easily realized for hardware implementation by using a simple function to instead of its complex nonlinear function, and design an interharmonic and harmonic estimation algorithm based on the improved CMN algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm is valid for harmonic and interharmonic.
