Virtual reality is an advanced man-machine interface of computer technology. It offers new solutions to futuristic and existing challenges in several fields. This paper includes a brief review of various applications of virtual reality technology in construction industry. The results of the early developments of this technology summarized in this paper exemplify the potential impacts of virtual reality environments in construction visualization and structural analysis.
