Abstract :
Against the problems existing in the Internet-based control systems, we propose a method for implementing such systems using RON technology. RON is a virtual network constructed on the application-layer of the ISO-Internet model. And it is able to select the optimum transmission strategy according to service quality factors, which will solve the problems caused by time-varying delay and minimum bandwidth guarantee in an Internet-based control system fairly well. The simulation results show us that RON can be used as one of the ideal technologies to implement such an Internet-based control system.
