Abstract :
Coherent optical control of qubits in single quantum dots shows that rotation of a single qubit can be achieved with multiple phase-locked pulses. Two pulses with well-defined pulse areas (/spl sim//spl pi//2) are phase-adjusted to rotate the qubit between |0> and |1>.
