Abstract
The watermarking for copyright protection should satisfy extra requirements of security and robustness. A new watermarking scheme with strong robustness based discrete wavelet transform (DTW) is proposed for copyright protection. In the algorithm, after a series of transformation, one selected meaningful binary image was embedded into the middle frequency components in the DWT domain. To prevent the collusion attack, different embedded information is applied to different pictures. A template can detect the geometry transform of the picture is embedded to the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) domain simultaneously. The extra embedded template is checked before the detection of the watermark. The reverse geometry transform is applied to the picture using the parameter indicating the geometry transform, which can be estimated by the embedded template. Finally the watermark detection procedure is carried out. The embedded template into DFT domain provides better resistance of certain geometry transform attack, thus improves the robustness of the watermarking. Various simulation examples demonstrate the robustness of the proposed watermarking scheme.
