Abstract
A spectral shaping coding technique, based on look-ahead block inversion, is applied to ultra-wideband pulse-position modulated signals for the purpose of interference mitigation. Implementation complexity is reduced through the use of the Viterbi algorithm, and some simulation results are shown. Lastly, the effect of timing jitter on the spectrum is discussed.
