Abstract :
Stochastic Resonance is a phenomenon where noise, instead of degrading the system´s SNR, acts as an amplifying force upon interacting with weak signals. This behavior of noise is observed in various nonlinear systems and a few naturally occurring phenomena. The dynamics of Stochastic Resonance are well established for a nonlinear bistable system. Schmitt Trigger is an example of such a system. There are various parameters which contribute to the overall system response under the influence of stochastic resonance. This paper deals with individual analysis and the mutual relationships of those parameters to achieve optimum performance of Schmitt trigger as a standard bistable system.
