Abstract :
Analysising WEB Geographic Information System (WEBGIS) status, found that the existing problem in the current system, combine the SVG with the Ajax, propose a idea of constructing a new WEBGIS system. First introduce a variety of techniques used, SVG technology has such characteristics as small storage space and the strong intercommunication, illustrates the possibility of using this vector graphic Specification to develop WEBGIS system; Ajax technology has the advantage of “on-demand access data”, shows that WEBGIS achieved by using Ajax to realize communication between client and server has many advantages such as image quality and high transmission speed; cache technology refers to use certain scheduling algorithm to achieve the proper storage of geographic data in order to improve system responsiveness. Second, design a four-story WEBGIS model based on B/S. Then introduce the key points of the model: the principle and technology of caching technology; the specific implementation of SVG uses hierarchical to express spatial data and interact with customers. And in order to improve data transmission speed, the system compresses transfer data, introduce the compression algorithm used, and test the system, compare the performance changes of the system. Finally, using SVG and Ajax techniques to achieve the WEBGIS system.
