Abstract :
This paper deals with the problem of the guaranteed cost control for linear time-delay systems with input constraints. Firstly, the system is analyzed using Razumikhin functional approach which ensures that the closed-loop system with the designed controller is asymptotically stable and the cost function is no more than a specified upper bound for the input constraints. Secondly, based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) design approach, a sufficient condition for the existence of guaranteed cost state feedback controller is derived, and a design procedure to guaranteed cost controller is given. Furthermore, a convex optimization problem is formulated to determine the optimal guaranteed cost controller. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design approach.
