Abstract :
A measuring method for workpiece diameter based on the principle of a three-sensor method and comparative method are described. The method is noncontact and online. The method is proved correct in theory, and the relationships between some kinds of error motions and the measurement of diameter are described in detail. Some important conclusions and a restraint condition of the method are obtained. The measuring experiment is implemented on a super-precision lathe S1-235. The results show that the measuring accuracy is not worse than 0.2 μm
