Abstract :
Bell Labs was an early developer of millimeter-wave technology. At the peak of its development there, Arno Penzias, Keith Jefferts and I were privileged to use it to discover CO in what turned out to be star forming interstellar clouds. Interest in mm and sub-mm wave astronomy has blossomed since.
