Abstract :
On the basis of the effective using of the satellite information offered by GPS, this paper sets up the database of the real-time information of traffic conditions that combined road information acquired by various types of vehicles in ITS and exploit data mining software of analytical work, construct the more advanced intellectual traffic system of city in order to help improve the city road traffic. The system will gather traffic flow speed from logistics and distribution vehicles, buses, taxis to obtain congested real-time information of the traffic and statistical analysis of traffic flow situation. The best road conditions will be selected by information system based on data mining (not the shortest path). The selected path may be a circuitous path to avoid traffic jam but spend shorter time, more reasonable energy consumption, and enable the driver to reach the destination most quickly, thereby reduce urban road traffic congestion situation and solve the problem of traffic bottlenecks to optimize the construction of urban road traffic objectives and achieve maximum efficiency. This paper puts forward and illuminates the concept and thought of the best route at the same time.
