Abstract
We present an experimental study of electromagnetic losses resulting from atmospheric absorption and scattering on terahertz (THz) radiation. A sealed, high-Q quasi-optical resonator system permits the determination of atmospheric attenuation, while also allowing for the measurement of water content within the system. The measured data is then compared with the predictive Millimeter-wave Propagation Model (MPM).
