Abstract
This paper describes an orthogonal arc-suppression coil, which has wider adjustable range, less harmonic and easier control. Regulation of the coil inductance adopts dynamical orthogonal coil magnetic control, and the respond of control is fast and accurate. Working distance from the resonance point, the orthogonal coil monitors the capacitive current of power net, and immediately turns into full compensation state. When instantaneous earth fault occurs, the arc suppression coil compensates the fault arc automatically, while a permanent earth fault occurs, it can detects and trips the faulty immediately and using the thyristor switched capacitors to tune arc suppression coil sensitively. It also discuses dynamic arc suppression coil compensation system which is effective and correct.
