Abstract :
Accurate microstrip filter design is complicated by the presence of parasitic elements, physical constraints, and the inhomogeneous nature of the medium. This paper describes the design problem, surveys commonly used design methods, and shows typical errors obained using these design approaches. A computer-aided design procedure is then described that yields precise bandwidth with exact equal ripple passband response.
