Abstract
The lidar research team at the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is developing an educational program with many components including academic classes, short courses, classroom teaching materials, hands-on laboratory demonstrations, and web-based resources. We are currently developing a textbook for introductory instruction on the basic principles of lidar systems.
