  • Abstract
The focus of this paper is the development of a multi-agent system (MAS) for detection and diagnosis of arcing faults in the shipboard electric power systems. Also provided is fault management via scheduling to maintain shipboard power system operation. The control schemes in the MAS framework are based on optimization methods and rule-based techniques. A prototype framework for implementation has been developed and tested on an integrated power system (IPS).
