Abstract :
Communication systems for future NASA interplanetary spacecraft require transmitter powers ranging from several hundred watts to kilowatts. Several hybrid junctions are considered as elements within a corporate combining architecture for high power Ka-band traveling-wave tube amplifiers (TWTA). This paper presents the computer-aided designs and simulated transmission characteristics of several hybrid circuits for a low loss, high power waveguide combiner.
