Abstract :
A systematic study of the sub-Doppler cooling in a strontium magneto-optical trap is presented. A detailed theoretical analysis of this system, based on a fully expanded multi-level theory, is also discussed. Furthermore, density-related radiation heating dynamics are found to play a crucial role in this system with reduced sub-Doppler cooling force.
