Abstract :
This plenary talk presents an overview of recent studies which utilize time-resolved optical and THz fields in the linear and nonlinear regimes. The combined experimental and theoretical investigations focus on a wide range of topics including exciton formation and decay, the plasmonic response, excitonic Rabi flopping, quantum-state control, and transient multi-THz-photon exciton ionization.
