Abstract :
This paper presents electronic ballast that can supply five independent high press sodium lamps. The main contributions are as the follows: Half-bridge topology is used, putting one LCC out filter to each lamp of the ballast, parallel distributed between both switch, frequency sweep method was used to start up the five lamps. It is possible to supply any numbers (<5) of lamps. A lighting system with this kind of ballast gains the merits of low system cost and more flexibility when compared with conventional systems. The description of the lighting system, practical analysis and experimental results are included in this paper
