Abstract :
A numerical study of unwanted oscillations occurring due to interaction of the annular helical electron beam with azimuthally symmetric TE0,n modes in the absorbing section of a gyrotron is performed using the BOR FDTD - particle-in-cell (PIC) code newly developed at IHM. Strong dependence of the appearance of the parasitic interaction and its amplitude on the spread of the pitch factor of quasi particles is observed.
